This course presents the fundamentals of arc welding in flat and horizontal positions. Areas covered include basic welding techniques, joints, fundamental welds, electrode classification, metal identification, welding symbols, and control of expansion and contraction. Students will have the opportunity to use ACDC, MIG, and TIG welders. (Lab fee required.)
