This course teaches students how a computer works and how to manage, upgrade, and repair computers on a basic level. Balanced coverage is given to new hardware as well as to the real world of PC repair where some older technology is still in widespread use and needs support. A supervised environment is provided enabling students to test their understanding with hands-on projects involving a full range of software and hardware problems. Pre-requisite: IT 120.
