This is a distance education, internet-based course that introduces students to over a hundred healthcare careers and presents fundamental knowledge that is common to all health professions. Key components of this course are the online class, videotapes of guest speakers representing several healthcare professions, and optional job shadowing placement. Areas studied include job seeking and keeping, communications in healthcare, anatomy and physiology, infection control, and medical terminology.
