6.00 credits (2.00 lec/4.00 lab) This course teaches application of separation procedures in ATC and is divided into two parts, both taught primarily in a realistic simulation lab. In part one of this course students learn to apply non-radar separation and procedures. In part two, they will apply rules and procedures to separate aircraft using radar. Students will participate in hands-on simulated traffic scenarios. They will also develop effective communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills needed in ATC. Prerequisites: ATCT 2120 and ATCT 2310. Corequisites: ATCT 2415 and ATCT 2445.
