3.00 credits (1.00 lec/2.00 lab) This course refines and expands on concepts learned in Painting 1. It also guides students to develop a personal style so that they may interpret their world in an individual way. Important to the class is the discussion of paintings-your own and the paintings of others. Students will learn about well-known painters and paintings and use community galleries and museums as a source for study. Fulfills MnTC Goal Area 6. Prerequisite: ARTS 1142.
