4.00 credits (2.00 lec/2.00 lab) Students will advance through the product development and sewn-products manufacturing process as they design, spec and manufacture an apparel or soft goods item. Prototypes, sourcing and costing, operations analysis, and manufacturing operations including marker development, cutting, assembly, quality control, labeling requirements and packaging will be included. Prerequisites: Placement into READ 0200 or placement into ESOL 0052 or completion of READ 0100 or ESOL 0042 with faculty recommendation into ESOL 0052; placement into MATH 0700 or completion of MATH 0060; APRL 1000, APRL 1350. Corequisite: APRL 1800.
