3.00 credits (3.00 lec) This course explores non-radar separation in the en route ATC environment. Students will learn aircraft flight characteristics, navigational aids and airspace used in this unique training environment. They will also examine documentation procedures and the language of ATC, phraseology. Students will explore and begin to apply nonradar separation rules and procedures by participating in creative classroom exercises. Prerequisites: ATCT 2000, ATCT 2100, ATCT 2110 and ATCT 2130. Corequisite: ATCT 2120.
