This course introduces the economic way of thinking and examines the macro economy of the United States. Measurement of the economy in terms of price level, unemployment and Gross Domestic Product will be covered. International trade issues in a globalized world, the banking system, and fiscal and monetary policy actions used to manage the economy will be explored. Supply-side theories and determinants of economic growth will be presented.
