3.00 credits (1.00 lec/2.00 lab) This course explores important concepts in painting. While most of the emphasis is on painting, lectures and critiques allow for some investigation of painting in an historical context. This course defines painting in a broad sense and allows for an exploration of both traditional and nontraditional methods. Acrylic paint is the medium used. The course is designed to help students with all levels of experience. Fulfills MnTC Goal Area 6.
