3.00 credits (2.00 lec/1.00 lab) Through this course, students will become accustomed to the tools used in the construction industry, as well as the safety habits of operating hand, power, and specialty tools and equipment. They will learn to select the proper tool for specific applications, along with research on each type of tool. They will also go on tours, listen to speakers and visit a tool show. Prerequisites: Placement into READ 0200 or placement into ESOL 0052 or completion of READ 0100 or ESOL 0042 with faculty recommendation into ESOL 0052; placement into MATH 0070 or completion of MATH 0060.
