3.00 credits (2.00 lec/1.00 lab) This course introduces students to oral radiology, as well as the preclinical application of radiographic techniques. This course will focus on key landmarks, principles of radiation, radiation health and safety, radiographic techniques using both the parallel and bisecting angle techniques, mounting radiographs, and radiograph evaluation. Students will begin their practice on skulls. Prerequisites: DNTA 1101, DNTA 1110, DNTA 1120 and DNTA 1130. Required of students enrolled in the diploma program only. Corequisites: DNTA 1201 or approval from the program director, is required of students enrolled in the certificate program only.
