3.00 credits (3.00 lec) This course offers a definition and a survey of lesbian/ gay/bisexual/transgender/queer (LGBTQ) literature from ancient times to the present. Students will read a wide range of literary and historical texts, with an emphasis on 20th-century poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction and drama, and they will engage in the questions that invigorate this evolving field. This course has a strong cross-cultural emphasis. Fulfills MnTC Goal Areas 6 and 7. Prerequisite: ENGL 1110.
