3.00 credits (3.00 lec) This course is a basic introduction to anatomy, physiology, embryology, and pathology, with an emphasis on the head, neck, and oral cavity. The course will focus on the human body systems, specific tissues, structures, and landmarks of the head, neck and oral cavity, to include the primary and permanent dentition. Prerequisites: Acceptance into the Dental Assistant program; placement into READ 0200 or placement into ESOL 0052 or completion of READ 0100 or ESOL 0042 with faculty recommendation into ESOL 0052.
