2.00 credits (1.00 lec/1.00 lab) Course changes Spring semester to 3 credits under Cinema Production. This course introduces students to sound as it relates to the moving image. Students will learn the fundamental nature of sound, basics of location and studio recording, and general principles involved in creating, manipulating, and mixing audio tracks. They will complete individual exercises in the sound labs, culminating in the creation, recording, and final mixdown of an original artwork. Prerequisites: FILM 1150, FILM 1310, SCRN 1510.
