2.00 credits (2.00 lec) This course provides students certification-focused instruction on installation, operation and troubleshooting of Linux operating systems. They will learn about fundamental open source resources/licenses, demonstrate knowledge of user administration, understand file permissions/software configurations, and manage local storage devices and network protocols. If entering this course, students are expected to have a working knowledge of the Linux environment; in the course, they will receive comprehensive instruction to prepare them for industry Linux+ certification. Prerequisite: ITEC 1475.
