2.00 credits (2.00 lec) This is a hands-on journalism workshop. After considering traditional news values and the elements of the news story, Students may participate in the production of the College's newspaper. They will receive practical instruction in writing news stories and headlines, photography, layout, proofreading, copy editing, and advertising and distribution. Invited professional journalists will share their experience with the class. This class may be taken three times for a total of 6 credits. Prerequisites: Placement into ENGL 1110 or completion of ENGL 0900 or ESOL 0051.
