3.00 credits (2.00 lec/1.00 lab) This course provides beginning media students with a foundation in the aesthetics, toolsets, and procedures used in the business of content creation with Dynamic Media. Students will work with still and moving images and sound while they examine and evaluate existing media content and the tools and processes used in their creation; study and recognize the underlying technology used in digital communications containing sound and picture; and use industry-standard tools from Adobe and Apple on both the Macintosh and Windows platforms. Prerequisites: READ 0100 or placement into READ 0200 or placement/faculty recommendation into ESOL 0052; MATH 0060 or placement into MATH 0070.
