5.00 credits (5.00 lab) This clinical course provides students with an opportunity to assess diverse client populations, implement therapeutic interventions for clients with multiple needs and assess the impact of illness on family processes. Emphasis is placed on environmental influences in individual and family health. Students will have the opportunity to explore the leadership role of the professional nurse in the clinical setting and provide service to the community through a studentlearning project that assesses a community-based need. Precepted clinical experiences are available. Prerequisites/Corequisites: NURS 2100 and BIOL 2226.
