2.00 credits (2.00 lec) This is an introductory course into the field of photojournalism. Students will learn how to capture and convey a story with images and text. They will photograph news events, feature stories, briefly interview subjects and write captions as they perform assignments out in the field for the College newspaper and/or community publications. They will capture and edit images for publication using digital cameras and industry-standard software. Students will be required to provide their own digital SLR camera for this course. Prerequisites: PHDI 1110, PHDI 1120, PHDI 1230 or instructor approval.
