This course provides essential skill development using the touch system on the alphabetic keyboard and an introduction to basic word processing commands. Course emphasis will be on speed and accuracy when keying documents and timed writings. Students must achieve a speed of 35 GWPM on a 5-minute timed writing, with a maximum of 1 error per minute.
