1.00 credit (1.00 lec) These courses examine timely topics in the Speech Communication field, including topics that are pertinent and practical in everyday personal and professional communication contexts. Topics may include: principles of persuasion, conflict-resolution skills, relationship communication, male/female communication, the art and skill of listening, the art of storytelling and other topics that meet students' needs. Prerequisites: Placement into READ 0200 or placement into ESOL 0052 or completion of READ 0100 or ESOL 0042 with faculty recommendation into ESOL 0052; placement into MATH 0070 or completion of MATH 0060.
