3.00 credits (3.00 lec) In this course, students will experience a comprehensive approach to Materia Medica including 50+ single herbs. They will learn about plant families, botanical classification, pharmacology, physical properties, energetics, safety, and physiological effects of single-herbal remedies. They will also attend field trips to local nature areas to identify plants. Prerequisites: HERB 1000, HERB 1100, HERB 1300, BIOL 1100 or BIOL 2200. Corequisites: HERB 1300.
