3.00 credits (3.00 lec) This course is an introduction to the major philosophical issues and controversies of the global ecofeminism discussion and an exploration of how those ideas affect women's participation in the economy. Students will make practical applications of philosophical ideas with particular emphasis on model nonsexist development projects. They will read women's literature that addresses the theme of ecofeminism and economic development. Fulfills MnTC Goal Areas 6 and 10. Prerequisite: One course from the MnTC Goal Area 1.
