3.00 credits (2.00 lec/1.00 lab) Fall 2008 only In Video 4, students will focus exclusively on documentary work. They will research, produce and edit two documentary projects during the semester. Combining documentary techniques and advanced theories with critical thinking, this course will help them distinguish the documentary form from other forms of nonfiction audiovisual expression. Screenings, readings, lectures, discussions, and collaborative work will help students turn complex issues and subjects into compelling documentary stories. Corequisite: DREC 2104.
