An in-depth study of the role of the surgical technologist and review for the certification examination. The course examines liability, ethical and legal issues of practice, adapting critical thinking skills to a variety of practice settings, effective team and professional behaviors and continuing education. Practice on computer simulations is required. Ninety hours of instruction. Three semester hours. Prerequisite: All 1st, 2nd semester coursework. Corequisite: SUT 1534, SUT 1538.
