(45 lecture hours 30 lab hours, 4 credits) Prerequisite: Before taking BIO 201 - students must have ONE of the following ? Score of 35 or better on the Science Placement Test ? BIO 090 or BIO 111 with a "C" grade or better? Instructor or Department Chair permission Focuses on an integrated study of the human body including the histology, anatomy, and physiology of each system. Examines molecular, cellular, and tissue levels of organization plus integuments, skeletal, articulations, muscular, nervous, and endocrine systems. Includes a mandatory hands-on laboratory experience covering experimentation, microscopy, observations, and dissection. This is the first semester of a two-semester sequence. This is a Statewide Guaranteed Transfer course GT-sci Approved 2-Jun-05, Effective August 2005. (Replaces BIO 201 Fall 1991-Summer 2005)
