(45 lecture hours 30 lab hours, 4 credits) Prerequisite: GEY 111 with a "C" grade or better orinstructor permission Studies the physical and biological development of the earth through the vast span of geologic time. Emphasizes the investigation and interpretation of sedimentary rocks, the record of ancient environments, fossil life forms, and physical events, all within the framework of shifting crustal plates.
