Credits 3 (3 Lecture Hrs/Wk) - F/Sp CIS279A teaches students the skills needed to effectively manage the current Novell Server Operating System. Topics covered include setting up computers to connect to servers, directory structure and use, creating and managing user accounts, file management and security, printing, login scripts, server software installation and administration tools such as Z.E.N. works. Teaching methods include hands-on training lectures and worksheets. Prerequisite: CIS140 or a working knowledge of the DO S operating system. Proficiency Needed: Reading, Writing, Math.
