Included are history, culture, economics, international trade links, politics, international relations, transportation systems, pollution and natural environments and hazards of this important part of our world. Specific topics: the physical geography of the region and its environmental challenges, conflict in the region, issues related to resources such as water and oil, and the potential for peace in the region. Proficiency Needed: Reading, Writing.
