Credits 2 (2 Lecture Hrs/Wk) - F This is an advanced theory course in machine tool operations. Topics covered will relate to both manual and CNC machine tools. Concepts covered will include use of soft jaws in turning; milling; multiple operation set-ups on both CNC and manual machines. This will include use of multiple part set-ups. This course will also develop use of "Machinery'sHandbook". Concurrent enrollment in MFG214 is required. Prerequisite: IMTL150, IMTL151 and IMTL153, each with a grade of "C" or better; orconsent of instructor.
