Credits 2 (6 Lab Hrs/Wk) This is an abbreviated lab class with instruction in the fundamentals of industrial processes and machines that are required of the machinist. Layout and machining metal by drilling, turning, milling, grinding, and slotting; introduction to, and the use of the "Machinery's Handbook"and use and maintenance of machinist hand tools are also presented. Open to all students. Concurrent enrollment is required in IMTL 110B or IMTL 110; or consent of instructor. Prerequisite: None. Proficiency Needed: Reading, Writing, Math.
