Credits 3 (2 Lecture - 3 Lab Hrs/Wk) - W (Formerly MFG136) This course will introduce the student to CNC machine tools. The student will set up and operate CNC machine tools for milling and turning applications. This will include a basic introduction to CNC coordinate systems for milling and turning and learning how to read and interpret CNC code. Students will be introduced to the application of cutting tools and tooling systems for CNC operations. Prerequisite: IMTL110 and IMTL111, each with a grade of "C" or better;or machine shop experience; or consent of instructor. Proficiency Needed: Reading, Writing. Math.
