Concepts of government including separation of powers, checks and balances, and federalism will be explored as well as the institutions of the presidency, Congress, and the Supreme Court. Also discussed are elections and voting behavior, political socialization and public opinion, political parties and pressure groups, as well as civil rights and liberties. Proficiency Needed: Reading, Writing.
