Credits 5 (5 Lecture Hrs/Wk) - W This course covers the pathology and management of developmental disorders, stroke, head injury, dementia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, AID S and various neurological conditions commonly seen in physical therapy practice. Discussion includes epidemiological factors (incidence, risk factors and outcomes), prevention, common diagnostic procedures, and medical/surgical management. Students explore rehabilitation strategies to address impairments, functional limitations and disabilities for these conditions. Concurrent registration is required in PTA 205L. Prerequisite: Minimum grade of "C" in PTA204 and PTA204L.
