Credits 3 (2 Lecture - 2 Lab Hrs/Wk) - F/W/Sp An introduction to welding safety, the Shielded Metal Arc welding or "stick" electrode process, the wirefeed processes (short circuiting gasmetal arc and the flux cored arc welding applications), and oxy-fuel cutting processes. Students are taught basic manipulative skills to weld mild steel in the flat and horizontal welding positions.
