Examines the principles of good nutrition for all age groups and principles of modification for therapeutic purposes. Nutritional concepts will be integrated throughout curriculum. This course will also cover special diets in relation to diseases and disorders of the various body systems. Prerequisites: PNP 1131 Medical Terminology, PNP 1212 Legal & Ethical Aspects, PNP 1225 Anatomy and Physiology Concurrent: PNP 1364 for Day Program. Concurrent: PNP 1351 Medical-Surgical Nursing I, PNP 1342 Pharmacology I, and PNP 1363 Clinical I for Evening Program. Fall and Spring
