This course trains students in the skills required for the care and comfort of individuals in the hospital, outpatient clinics, nursing homes, public health agencies, private medical offices and the home. Included are the rationales for procedures, correct terminology, accuracy in documentation, and addressing the spiritual, cultural, biological and psychological needs of clients. Attendance is critical to success. This course must be successfully completed prior to the nurse assisting internship.
