This course is an introductory course in painti ng focusing on a solid foundati on in color theory, mixing and applicati on of pigment and mediums, canvas preparati on, basic painti ng skills, and aestheti c sensibiliti es. This course is open as a general educati on course to all college students who wish to paint in oils or acrylics. It will include regular outside assignments. This course is repeatable, but may only count one ti me for degree requirements. This is a three credit hour course. Prerequisite: AR 113A
