This course covers the need for research, sample sizes, types of samples, and data collecti on. Students will analyze and interpret data through data collecti on, summarizing data, and data presentati on; hypothesis testi ng, regression, and correlati on; random variables, and probability densiti es. Computer applicati ons will include T-Tests, simple linear regressions and correlati ons. The course will conclude with an overview of business applicati ons, how stati sti cs are used in society and their importance. (This course will not fulfi ll the mathemati cs requirements for the AA or AS degrees.) This is a three credit hour course. Prerequisite: MA 113A
