The various forms of business ownership and functi ons of management are identi fi ed. The phases of constructi on projects and the development of formal and informal organizati ons are covered. Project managers will be assisted in identi fying personal management styles, how and when to use their authority, how to resolve confl ict, and how to moti vate employees. Key elements of the negoti ati on process, problem solving for profi t, documentati on procedures, identi fying resources, esti mati ng, scheduling, cost control, resource control, TQM, safety, and subcontractor safety evaluati on are discussed. This is a two credit hour course.
