This course introduces the paraprofessional to technology integrati on in the instructi onal environment. It will be conducted in a laboratory/applicati ons environment and will uti lize "hands-on" learning. Concepts which will becovered include microcomputer concepts, PowerPoint, Word applicati ons, spreadsheet applicati ons, Internet integrati on, Web-site uti lizati on, Multi - Media presentati on tools including but not limited to digital video cameras, LCD players, scanners, media projectors, Elmos, Smartboards, VCR, and overhead projecti on for student learning. The student must successfully demonstrate a practi cal skill level in integrati on of technology in instructi onal strategies to support diverse learners. The paraprofessional, upon completi on of this course, will be able to support the teacher/educator in the classroom environment in the various aspects of technology integrati on. This is a three credit hour course.
