The goals, working relati onships, safety, material handling, and common tools used in sprinkler fi tti ng are explained. It covers procedures for determining pipe length, and how to groove pipe and install fi tti ngs. The handling, storage requirements, and tools used to assemble CPVC systems are also discussed. The course identi fi es the types of copper tube and fi tti ngs approved for use in fi re sprinkler systems and how to solder and braze joints. It also discusses properti es and classifi cati ons of soils, sloping requirements, excavati on support systems, and backfi lling requirements. This is a four credit hour course. Prerequisite: CT 112
