This course is the fourth course in the electrical emphasis pathway. It covers load calculati ons, practi cal applicati ons of lighti ng, standby and emergency systems, basic electronic theory, fi re alarm systems, and specialty transformers. It also includes advanced motor controls, HVAC controls, heat tracing and freeze protecti on as well as preventati ve and troubleshooti ng procedures for motors, and high-voltage terminati ons/splices. This is a four credit hour course. Prerequisite: CT 124E
