This course examines the interpersonal skills needed by correcti ons offi cials to understand and eff ecti vely interact with the incarcerated society. Community relati ons and courtesies are addressed with emphasis given to communicati on with the convicted off ender. Report writi ng instructi on will include interviews, statement taking, note taking and fi nal reports. Radio and telephone communicati on will include practi cal exercises as appropriate. This is a three credit hour course.
