Basic business accounti ng and project esti mati ng, as well as cost control procedures and task organizati on are covered. Calculati on of drainage fi xture units for waste systems, well qualiti es and assembly of pumps and components, types of private sewage systems, and local code requirements are discussed. Techniques for locati ng buried water and sewer lines and basic types of hydronic and solar heati ng systems are included. Plumbing systems in swimming pools and hot tubs, compressed air systems, corrosive wastes, safety issues, and hazard communicati ons are emphasized. This is a four credit hour course.
