This course develops skills and concepts of algebra for students with litt le background in algebra. This course includes properti es of real numbers, principles of additi on and multi plicati on, solving linear inequaliti es, problems with two unknowns, graphing linear equati ons, exponent rules, scienti fi c notati on, operati ons on polynomials, factoring, compound inequaliti es and solving equaliti es and inequaliti es involving absolute value. This course does not fulfi ll the mathemati cs requirements for any of the associate degrees. This is a three credit hour course. Prerequisite: TS 113E or an appropriate score on a placement exam
