This course is designed to facilitate the review of nursing theory to assist the student in preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam. This course uti lizes a body systems approach to address the physiological, psychological (mental health), social, spiritual, and cultural considerati ons of nursing care for clients with multi ple, complex, and specifi c health care needs/problems. The course content will review medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, and maternal/newborn nursing as it applies to lifespan health care needs/ problems of individuals, families, groups, and communiti es. The course content will also review nursing calculati ons, pharmacological, and nutriti onal concepts. This is a two credit hour course. Prerequisites: NU 219, PC 212 Co-requisites: NU 225, NU 223.
