This course is a conti nuati on of WE 124, including shielded metal-arc welding in the horizontal, verti cal and overhead positi ons. The following concepts and skills are covered in class: Pipe welding procedures and arc welding of basic pipe joints used in oil and gas line welding and farm and ranch constructi on using irrigati on pipe and stainless steel plates using the STIG welding system, cutti ng with a plasma cutti ng torch, weld in diff erent positi ons from 1G through 4G with the capacity of heat transfer or heat resistance and treatment. This is a three credit hour course. Prerequisites: WE 114, WE 124
