This course focuses on the principals of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of community oral health programs. The dental hygiene student will be introduced to federal, state and local public health. Emphasis will be placed on epidemiology, prevention and control or oral diseases. Through the course lab, students will explore interprofessional community enrichment and alternative practice opportunities.
