Students explore the culture and civilization of Spanish-speaking world. Through an investigation of the social, political, and artistic aspects of the target culture, students develop greater insight into the global implications of cultural practices. By comparing and contrasting their own culture with that of Spanish-speaking peoples, students develop the intercultural competency that allows them to recognize various perspectives on global issues and analyze alternative solutions. This course is taught in either English or Spanish, depending on the section.
